The 32-year-old is enjoying a decent season with The Potters, and was handed an unexpected call-up to the England squad in November – as well as being linked with a shock move to Barcelona.
But whilst things are going well on the football pitch, the same can’t be said for the golfing greens.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea man found himself marooned in a leafy nightmare during a recent round, and despite his best efforts, he soon ended up on his backside:
If it’s any consolation, he’s lucky he didn’t break his arms performing that shot – he could’ve been looking at a long spell on the sidelines!
