The Gunners boss could only watch on helplessly as his side were pulverised at the hands of the ruthless German champions in Bavaria, with Bayern running out 5-1 winners in the Champions League last-16 first-leg.
Speaking to broadcasters BT Sport on TV afterwards, the Frenchman looked a beaten and weary figure, and when he made his way to the bowels of the Allianz Arena to face the written journalists, proceedings didn’t last very long:
Arsene Wenger press conference over after three questions. Called to a close by his press officer…sums it up, really.

Just three questions at Wenger's press conference… Seems like this one has hit him for six. #AFC

Wenger's press conference over before it began. He knows what's coming to him over the next few days. It's going to be fairly savage.

In the five minutes it's taken me to work it out, Arsene Wenger has earned £76.31. And he can't even sit through a press conference.

Wenger's press conference is a joke. Surely there are no @Arsenal fans left who still want Wenger.

Arsenal’s next match is in the FA Cup against non-league side Sutton United.
It might seem extremely unlikely, but if Arsenal were to somehow lose that one, it really would be lights out for Wenger.
Are witnessing the Frenchman’s final few months as the Arsenal manager? What do you think?
