Zenit Players Celebrate Branislav Ivanovic’s Birthday By Beating Lumps Out of Him

Branislav Ivanovic seems to have settled into life at Zenit St Petersburg, with his teammates all taking part in the defender’s birthday celebration at training this afternoon.

And by ‘celebration’ – we mean that the Serbian was man-handled by the Zenit players as he went through a happy birthday tunnel.

Zenit are currently in the middle of preparations ahead of their Europa League match against Anderlecht tomorrow night – having lost the first leg 2-0 at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.

However, despite Mircea Lucescu’s side desperate to earn revenge when they host the Belgian side, the mood in training seemed positive.

Unless your name is Ivanovic that is…

Ivanovic moved to Russia in January, after losing his place in the Chelsea team following the arrival of Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.

Nevertheless, Ivanovic is still considered a favourite amongst the Chelsea support as he won two Premier League titles and a Champions League while at the club.
