Zlatan Ibrahimovic: “I Am Like Indiana Jones”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has never been short of confidence, but even by the Swede’s high standards, his latest claim will definitely be tough to back-up.

The Manchester United striker is enjoying a fantastic season for the Red Devils and bagged his first hat-trick for the club during last night’s 3-0 Europa League win over Saint-Etienne to take his overall tally for the season to 23 goals in all competitions.

And after his show-stealing performance at Old Trafford, the veteran seemed to be on a bigger high than usual – and even claimed to be just like Harrison Ford’s alter-ego Indiana Jones.

Speaking via The Guardian, Ibrahimovic said: “Every trophy for me is incredible, everywhere I came I won so if I can win something here I will be super happy.

“People that know me know that I play in many clubs and I try to do my best.

“Wherever I went I won, so I am like Indiana Jones.

“I got a lot of help from my team-mates. We played an open game and it was important to get a good result so we can take it into the second leg. We won 3-0 and I got to score the three goals so I am happy for that.

“We have still many games to play so hopefully I can continue like I am doing. I’ve scored a couple of goals against them, I don’t focus on specific opponents, I just try to do my job, try to do what I am good at.”

United travel to Blackburn Rovers this weekend in the FA Cup, but it seems unlikely that Zlatan will be involved against the Championship side at Ewood Park.

The club’s next Premier League match is away to bitter rivals Manchester City on February 26 – and if Zlatan can score another hat-trick in that one, United fans will let him be any superheros he wants to be.
