Darren Fletcher to Sign For Rangers? Random Rumour Hits Social Media

Darren Fletcher to sign for Rangers is the latest bizarre transfer rumour to hit social media.

Fresh off the back of leading West Brom to a big 3-1 victory over Arsenal, the Scottish midfielder is at the centre of random rumours about him interesting new Gers manager Pedro Caixinha.

That’s a surprise given Fletcher’s links with Celtic in the past as well as his status as captain of Tony Pulis’ Baggies.

From what we can see, there are no credible sources linking Fletcher with Rangers so it is all just talk among fans across Twitter and Facebook.

But is there any truth in the rumour? We’re not so sure – and the majority of Gers fans aren’t either:

Fletcher has spoken in the past about how he chose to play for Rangers’ academy as a boy before signing for Manchester United.

So he may be a Celtic fan, but that shouldn’t matter if he saw the Ibrox outfit as the best place to play his football.

Fletcher is out of contract at the end of the season so he would be available on a pre-contract, but there is still time for West Brom to sign him up on an extension.
