Dedryck Boyata Reveals Celtic Greats He’d Have Loved to Play With… Including Larsson

Dedryck Boyata says he’d have loved to have played alongside Celtic legends Henrik Larsson, Stiliyan Petrov and Pierre van Hooijdonk.

The Hoops defender was taking part in a Twitter Q&A this afternoon and was asked which player from the club’s past he would have liked to play with.

However, Boyata refused to name just one former Celt… and instead picked Larsson, Petrov and van Hooijdonk:

Unsurprisingly, Larsson made Boyata’s list, with the 45-year-old having lifted four SPL titles, two Scottish Cup and two League Cups.

Larsson spent five years of his Celtic career playing alongside Stilyan Petrov, who made over 200 appearances for the club before moving on to Aston Villa.

van Hooijdonk spent just two years at Celtic Park, but made an outstanding impact in that time as the Dutchman scored 44 goals in 69 games, winning the Scottish Cup.

Boyata also revealed who out of the current Celtic squad would make his ideal 5-a-side team:

Are you surprised that the former Man City defender left Leigh Griffiths out of his side?
