Eboue Kouassi Thanks the Celtic Fans After Making Long-Awaited Debut

Eboue Kouassi has sent a thank you message to the Celtic supporters after the midfielder finally made his long-awaited debut for the Hoops at the weekend.

The Ivorian moved to Scotland for a fee in the region of £3 million way back in January, but has been forced to kick his heels on the sidelines as manager Brendan Rodgers made sure he got used to his new surroundings.

With the Northern Irishman obviously convinced the time was right, Eboue came off the bench as a substitute in the 4-1 Scottish Cup win over St. Mirren on Sunday – a moment obviously special to him:

He didn’t have too much to do during his cameo appearance, but almost found himself in hot water after a ferocious tackle in the closing moments:

With the Premiership title wrapped up, it seems more and more likely that Eboue will see more football between now and the end of the season.

What did you make of his debut, and is he already something of a cult hero to supporters?
