He’s On His Way! Al-Gharafa Confirm on Twitter That Pedro Caixinha is Leaving for Rangers

Pedro Caxinha is officially on his way to be becoming the next manager of Rangers, after the Portuguese’s current employers Al-Gharafa confirmed his departure via Twitter.

Caixinha has been linked with the Ibrox job for the last few weeks, however, there were doubt as to whether the former Sporting Lisbon assistant would be unveiled before Sunday’s clash with bitter rivals Celtic.

And while it’s still unclear what role Caixinha will play before the weekend’s Old Firm derby, its now official that the 46-year-old will become Mark Warburton’s replacement:

Al-Gharafa continued by stating the club decided to accept Caixinha’s departure as it was in the best interests of the club financially and that he had a strong desire to move to the Scottish Premiership:

Warburton left the club in controversial circumstances a few weeks ago and while Caixinha is an unknown quality in Scotland, Rangers fans will surely be pleased to get a new man through the front door.

So, what do you reckon Rangers supporters, are you excited that Caixinha may be in the dugout for Sunday?
