James Corden might not have much time to watch his beloved West Ham due to his TV commitments in America, but that hasn’t stopped him from pinpointing the next player he wants his team to sign – Celtic‘s Stuart Armstrong.
Armstrong has been on an incredible run of form recently, having played his way into Gordon Strachan’s Scotland team after a remarkable turnaround under Brendan Rodgers.
And while the former Dundee United midfielder has undoubtedly earned the praise of the Celtic Park faithful, it seems his performances have even earned him some recognition from across the Atlantic too.
@FocusOnCeltic uploaded a two-minute long video of every goal he’s scored for the club, to mark his 25th birthday, which he celebrates today.
Corden obviously saw the Tweet and liked what he saw, as he replied, “I would love @WestHam to sign this player!!!”

A move down south after a single breakthrough season with the Scottish champions may seem unlikely, especially considering the wealth of options West Ham have in the centre of the park.
However, if Armstrong continues to improve at the rate he has during the current campaign, Celtic fans can only hope Corden doesn’t have Hammers boss Slaven Bilic on speed dial.
