Madeira Airport’s New Bust of Cristiano Ronaldo Will Give You Nightmares

Madeira Airport have unveiled a new bust of Cristiano Ronaldo – although we’re not entirely sure if the Real Madrid superstar will be too happy with his likeness.

Fresh from scoring his 71st international goal in Portugal’s friendly with Sweden last night, Ronaldo was back on the island of his birth as they celebrated their favourite son, with the airport being officially renamed after the iconic striker.

Yup, from now on, hundreds of thousands of people per yer will be flying into the island via Cristiano Ronaldo airport, following the former Manchester United man’s part in Portugal’s historic Euro 2016 win.

The man himself was greeted at the airport by hundreds of supporters this afternoon, along with politicians – and his brand new bust.

As you can see in the image above, we wouldn’t be totally surprised if the sculptor turned out to be Stevie Wonder – what on Earth is going on with his left eye?!

Just imagine the versions Ronaldo turned down!
