Pedro Caixinha Goes Public With Praise of Billy Gilmour

Pedro Caixinha has publicly praised Billy Gilmour amid a reported transfer agreement between Rangers and Chelsea.

The Scottish youngster has burst on to the scene this season after starring for the country’s Under 16 team in the Victory Shield.

He’s since played regularly for the club’s development team while training with the first team and caretaker manager Graeme Murty had planned on naming him on the bench against Hamilton earlier this month.

That didn’t materialise, but it still hasn’t stopped the hype around Gilmour – with Chelsea continually linked with a move for him.

Latest reports say the clubs have agreed a £600,000 fee for Gilmour to move south, but it isn’t complete yet.

So Caixinha has spoken about the 15-year-old midfielder in his press conference today and his words leave no-one in doubt about whether Rangers want to keep him or not:

Gilmour hasn’t yet made a first team appearance, but Caixinha’s words suggest that couldn’t be far away if he does decide to stay at Rangers.

Gers fans – what do you want Gilmour to do?
