Rangers Fans Hijack Mark Warburton’s Interview to Warn Forrest Supporters

Nottingham Forrest manager Mark Warburton has told the club’s fans on Twitter that he won’t focus on what the other teams in the Championship are doing – much to the amusement of Rangers supporters.

Warburton, his assistant Davie Weir and head of recruitment Frank McParland all left Ibrox at the beginning of February, after spending two years in Scotland.

And while Rangers have since appointed Warburton’s successor in Pedro Caixinha, the club’s fans are still keen to warn Forrest over Warburton’s insistence on ignoring what opposition teams are doing.

A common criticism that was aimed at Warburton during his reign was that he focused too much on his own players and systems, instead of trying to find ways to stop the other side from scoring goals.

Warburton held an interview with Forrest’s social media team this afternoon ahead of Saturday’s match against Preston.

The 54-year-old spoke about the benefits of having an international break, how many points will be needed for Forrest to avoid relegation and analysed his squad’s fitness.

However, when Warburton claimed Forrest would focus purely on themselves rather than Preston and the other teams in the division, it grabbed the attention of some Rangers supporters who took the opportunity to mock their ex gaffer:

Interestingly, Warburton’s comments came on the same day that Caixinha gave the media a detailed analysis of what makes Motherwell a dangerous threat for Rangers this weekend.

What do you reckon Rangers fans, is Warburton a broken record when facing an uphill task?

Or is he being given a tough time?
