Rangers Loanee Matt Crooks Scores Brilliant Winner For Scunthorpe

Rangers loanee Matt Crooks is showing he might still have a future at the Glasgow giants – after scoring a brilliant winner for temporary club Scunthorpe United.

Crooks arrived at Ibrox last summer after signing a pre-contract agreement to leave previous club Accrington Stanley along with Josh Windass.

However, unlike Windass, things haven’t worked out too well for the 23-year-old.

After failing to break into the Gers’ first-team under Mark Warburton, Crooks took up the option of going on loan to English League One side Scunthorpe, and in last night’s match against Rochdale, he managed to fire a brilliant late winner past the helpless opposition goalkeeper:

Crooks definitely wasn’t Warburton’s cup of tea, but could he Pedro Caixinha’s? At this stage, it’d probably be wise not to rule anything out.

What do you think of the goal? And does Crooks have a realistic chance of building a career in Scotland?
