Video: Chris Martin Responds to the Fan Who Got Viva La Vida Tattooed on His Backside

Scotland international Chris Martin has sent a message to the plucky fan who got a tattoo in honour of his dramatic winner against Slovenia on Sunday.

Martin’s late strike sealed a vital 1-0 victory for Gordon Strachan’s side at Hampden Park, much to the horror of Scotland supporter Callum Strang.

Strang had of course promised prior to kick-off that if the Fulham forward scored during the game, that he would get Coldplay lyric ‘Viva la Vida’ tattooed on his rear end.

Martin is of course the namesake of Coldplay’s famous frontman Chris Martin.

And Strang kept his word this afternoon as he visited his local tattoo parlour and got Chris Martin, Viva la Vida, 1-0 and the date of the match inked into his flesh.

Strang’s effort has clearly impressed Martin too, as the striker sent him a message broadcast live on STV Glasgow this evening.

The newly inked supporter then claimed that if Martins scores in Scotland’s next qualifier against England, he may have to go one step further and get a portrait of the star on his back:

Surely Martin can’t do the unthinkable… can he?
