Spartak Moscow Defender Hires Lion For Daughter’s 5th Birthday Party

We’ve all heard of wealthy footballers taking their extravagances to obscene heights but Spartak Moscow defender Dmitri Kombarov has taken things to a whole new level.

The left-back, who is a Russian international and played at Euro 2016, decided to push the boat out for his five-year-old daughter’s birthday party recently, and obviously wanted to get her everything she wanted.

But when your daughter wants a LION for her big day, you know it’s probably safe to draw the line there.

The only saving grace for Kombarov is that it was only a cub, and his daughter Ulyana seemed quite happy posing next to it in pictures on the player’s Instagram page.

Still, it can’t be a particularly healthy environment for a big cat like that meant for the wild, and some people commenting on his posts seemed to suggest the poor thing might have even been drugged.

Perhaps for her sixth birthday you could just get her a bike or something, eh Dmitri?
