Demba Ba is still a very popular man at Chelsea – as his visit to see his old team-mates recently showed.
The Senegalese striker left Stamford Bridge for Besiktas three years ago after spending two seasons with the club.
He won’t go down as a Blues great, as he only scored 14 goals in 51 games and failed to win any major trophies.
But despite all that Ba appears to be a pretty popular player, with many of his former team-mates absolutely delighted to see him when he visited them at the weekend.
Frank Lampard stole the headlines with his emotional goodbye to the Chelsea fans at half-time of the weekend’s 3-1 win over Swansea.
Yet Ba was also in the house and went down a storm in the dressing room after the final whistle:

He played alongside stars like John Terry, David Luiz, Kurt Zouma and Willian in his time and it’s nice to see they all still remember him for what he brought to the team.
Ba is now 31 and turns out for Besiktas on loan from Shanghai Shenhua.
