Video: Eboue Kouassi’s First Tackle as a Celtic Player Was Absolutely Brutal

Celtic midfielder Eboue Kouassi finally made his debut for the Scottish club this afternoon – and it didn’t take long for the Ivorian to make his presence felt at Parkhead.

The 19-year-old was signed from Russian side FC Krasnodar back in January, but has been getting used to his new surroundings in Scotland before making his debut.

It seems Brendan Rodgers is happy with how he’s adapted to life with the Hoops, and handed the £3 million signing his bow against St.Mirren in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals earlier today.

With Celtic already 4-1 up and cruising to victory, it seemed unlikely that Eboue would have much to do – but he managed to leave his mark on Saints full-back Stelios Demetriou following a brutal challenge:

Somehow, Eboue managed to get away with his tackle, and wasn’t shown any sort of card by the referee, let alone given his marching orders.

But it’s probably fair to say he won’t get away tackles like that too many more times in the future.

What do you think of the incident?
