Video: Jamie Vardy Puts in Entry For Dive of the Year During Germany v England

Jamie Vardy was given the opportunity to lead the line for England against Germany this evening – and quickly put in a brilliant entry for dive of the season.

The Leicester City man has overcome something of a dry spell in the Premier League, where he’s scored four goals in his last five games, and was given the nod by Gareth Southgate for tonight’s friendly in Dortmund.

A little over 15 minutes into the match, the 30-year-old looked to latch onto a trademark through-ball behind the German defence, and ended up connecting with goalkeeper Marc Andre Ter Stegen.

But Vardy’s reaction was completely unnatural, and he sent himself spinning into the air, before throwing a accusatory glance in the referee’s direction:

We weren’t the only ones who noticed the bizarre nature of Vardy’s dive, with fans commenting on it on social media too:

But what do you think? Was it really that bad?
