The Croatian defender was brought back into the Hoops starting XI by Brendan Rodgers after missing out on recent games to Erik Sviatchenko and Dedryck Boyata.
It was Sviatchenko he replaced after the Danish centre back’s unconvincing display against Rangers last weekend.
And he made an impact, volleying the ball home courtesy of a deflection just before half-time in the game at Dens Park:

It was exactly what Celtic needed as they’d found Dundee difficult to break down for almost all of the first half.
If Rodgers’ men manage to hold on and get the win, they’ll set themselves up to clinch the Premiership title against Hearts at Tynecastle last weekend.
They’d hold a 25-point lead over second place Aberdeen and a win over the Jambos would make it mathematically impossible for any team to catch them at the top between now and the end of the season.
