Video: Leeds Fan Pushes Brighton’s Uwe Hünemeier For No Reason

A Leeds fan pushed Brighton defender Uwe Hünemeier during their English Championship game tonight.

The incident occurred on the 30 minute mark in the clash at Elland Road when Hünemeier was pushed into the away support by Leeds attacker Alfonso Pedraza.

But, instead of helping the German back on to the pitch, one supporter decided to push him before a number of others pointed at him to get back on the pitch.

The clip is now doing the rounds on social media – and doesn’t reflect well on the Leeds fan:

It’s an unfortunate incident in a big game down in the Championship, with both Leeds and Brighton vying for promotion to the Premier League.

If Brighton win, they’ll go top of the league, leapfrogging Newcastle to take a two-point lead, while Leeds sit in the play-offs and a victory would solidify their place there.

Garry Monk’s men could even harbour hope of making a late push for one of the automatic places if they win.

They trail Brighton by 11 points, but a victory would cut that to eight with eight games remaining in the season.
