Video: Marouane Fellaini Scores Nice Header v Middlesbrough

Marouane Fellaini has got Manchester United off to the perfect start against Middlesbrough after scoring a nice header to open the scoring.

The big Belgian is in the United team from the start for their English Premier League clash at the Riverside this afternoon.

Jose Mourinho had to make a number of changes after his side beat Rostov in the Europa League on Thursday night.

And he’ll be delighted to have seen two players he introduced come together to get United’s opener.

It was nice play from Ashley Young on the left to cut back in and deliver deep to Fellaini at the back post to head home beyond Victor Valdes:

That was ideal from United after being foiled by Valdes a number of times inside the first half an hour of the game.

Marcus Rashford, in particular, found him in fine form as two point-blank efforts were turned away by the Spaniard.

But it’s United who have the lead in a game they desperately need to win if they still harbour hopes of finishing in the top four.
