Hummels came up with the idea of the pair facing off in a game of distance shooting, with each player having to take a shot on goal from 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 metres.
The distance from goal would be transferred into points if either Muller or Hummels could hit the target.
And to make things extra interesting, Hummels also introduced a ‘joker’ rule, which either player could use before a shot to double their points.
Needless to say it was a hugely competitive challenge, with neither player scoring a goal for the first four minutes of the video.
However, as Muller threatens to “batter the cameraman and destroy the video evidence”, the challenge comes to life.
Breathtakingly, Muller eventually hits the crossbar with his final shot to hand victory to the Bayern centre-back.
Who said training had to be boring?
