You Ess A, You Ess A! Rangers Fans Hail Emerson Hyndman After Late Winner

Emerson Hyndman was the hero for Rangers tonight as his last-minute winner gave them a big 3-2 win over St Johnstone.

The American midfielder only joined the Ibrox club at the start of January in a loan move from Bournemouth, but he’s wasted no time making himself invaluable to the team.

While the team have struggled, Hyndman has been a constant source of creativity and penetration in the middle of park.

But it was his finishing touch that made the difference tonight as the Gers needed him to pop up with a late goal to help them get all three points against St Johnstone.

Rangers had led 2-0 in the game thanks to goals from Barrie McKay and Martyn Waghorn, but St Johnstone fought back to 2-2 with strikes from David Wotherspoon and Steven Anderson after Rob Kiernan’s sending off.

Considering Graeme Murty’s men have lost their last two games against Dundee and Inverness, you could understand if Gers fans were worried.

But they had no reason to as Hyndman popped up with a brilliant finish to win the game at the death:

Now for the Hyndman love-in on Twitter:

The only disappointing thing for Rangers fans is Hyndman will return to Bournemouth in the summer and most likely never feature for them again.

But they can only enjoy him while he’s in Glasgow – it was indeed a top quality performance tonight.
