Birmingham Make Harry Redknapp Their Manager.. Fans Ask if He’s Signed Niko Kranjcar Yet

Birmingham have appointed Harry Redknapp as their new manager – and fans are immediately asking if he’s signed Niko Kranjcar yet.

The English Championship club yesterday lost their boss after Gianfranco Zola resigned from his post.

The Blues had won just two games in his 24-match spell in charge of the club and the 2-0 home defeat to Burton yesterday was the final nail in the coffin for the Italian.

They sit 20th in the league, just three points above safety with three games remaining – so there’s a real danger they could go down.

But their cause has immediately been boosted by the appointment of Redknapp for the last three matches.

The experienced English manager knows how to get teams out of trouble and should get an immediate reaction from the players.

And even though there’s no transfer window to help him, fans are still joking about Kranjcar being signed by Redknapp for the fourth time:

Kranjcar is currently contracted to Rangers for the next season so it’s unlikely he will actually join Redknapp at Birmingham.

But we wouldn’t be surprised if some of his other favourites, such as Peter Crouch and Christopher Samba, end up at Birmingham if he keeps the job beyond the summer.
