Chris Sutton Has Digs at Rival David Tanner Over Inverness Mistake

Chris Sutton has had a few digs at David Tanner after the Sky Sports presenter made a mistake over who Celtic were playing in Dingwall this afternoon.

The host referred to the Ross County fans as ‘Caley Thistle fans’ as he finished off Sky’s build-up to the Scottish Premiership match.

It was an easy error, which was picked up by plenty of fans – and Sutton must have been paying attention too.

So the BT Sport pundit couldn’t resist two little digs at his rivals as he tweeted about the match. This was the first:

He then followed that up with this after Ross County got an equaliser through Michael Gardyne at the start of the second half:

Considering Sutton criticises everyone else in Scottish football, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s called out one of his rival broadcasters.

There were reports earlier in the year that BT Sport were ready to buy exclusive rights to broadcast the SPFL, but that hasn’t led to anything concrete so fans will have to settle for coverage being spread out among broadcasters over the short term.
