Everyone is Slaughtering Leicester City for Flag Display vs Atletico Madrid

Leicester City are taking on Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League quarter final tonight… and nobody was impressed with the club’s pre-match flag display.

Clearly inspired by the impressive tifo unveiled by the Atletico supporters at the Vicente Caulderon during the first-leg, Leicester decided to give each of their fans a flag to shiny wave before kick-off.

And while some have praised the club for trying to create an atmosphere at the King Power Stadium, it appears the majority of social media was unimpressed with the attempt.

In fact, almost everyone who mentioned the flags on Twitter was trolling the club:

Leicester will need to score three goals to have any chance of progressing to the next round tonight, with Saul scoring for the visitors to give the La Liga side a 2-0 lead on aggregate.

Can the Premier League champions comeback and show the kind of grit and determination which made them world-beaters last season?
