Henrikh Mkhitaryan Sends Supportive Message to Borussia Dortmund

Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has sent a classy message of support to Borussia Dortmund following last night’s dramatic scenes which saw their match with Monaco postponed.

As we told you at the time, at least one explosion near the Dortmund team bus in the run-up to the club’s Champions League quarter-final against Monaco left defender Marc Bartra needing to be hospitalised, and forced UEFA to postpone the clash until 5.45pm today.

The scenes left supporters all over the world shocked, and some of football’s biggest names have offered their support in the aftermath – including Mkhitaryan.

The Armenian spent three years at the Bundesliga giants, and offered a stoic response to the events via his Twitter account this morning:

He might be a United player now, but turning out for a club like Dortmund probably never fully leaves you.

Well said, Henrikh.

What do you think of the game being replayed today? Is it too soon?
