Hibs fans will love Jason Cummings’ tweet after their team clinched the Scottish Championship title and promotion back to the Premiership.
It’s been three years since the Hibees were relegated in a play-off defeat to Hamilton and they’ve had to see rivals Hearts and Rangers beat them to promotion before getting their moment today.
They went into this afternoon’s clash with Queen of the South at Easter Road knowing that if they won and Falkirk didn’t, they’d be crowned champions.

And after beating Queen’s comfortably 3-0 while Falkirk drew 2-2 with St Mirren, that wrapped up the title and promotion for Neil Lennon’s men.
Cummings has been integral to Hibs throughout their time in the Championship after his miss in the penalty shootout against Hamilton three years ago put them down.
His tweet suggests today’s result and achievement is the end of a journey for Cummings to redeem himself:
Made a promise 3 year ago when I missed that pen to relegate us that I'd do my best to get us back up. Today is that day!!! ?✅

That will be brilliant for Hibees to read given the connection they have to the flamboyant striker.
Cummings has 21 goals in all competitions for Hibs this season and will be looking to add to that tally in their remaining games, including a Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen next weekend.
But will these be his final games at the club before they decide to cash in on him in the summer?
