Jack Wilshere Gets Injured Against Tottenham.. and No One is Surprised

Jack Wilshere limped out of Bournemouth‘s clash with Tottenham this afternoon – and absolutely no one is surprised.

The on-loan Arsenal man has been enjoying a run in the team in recent weeks and would have been motivated to put in a strong performance against his old rivals at White Hart Lane.

It’s unlikely Bournemouth will be dragged into the Premier League relegation battle, but they too would have wanted a strong performance and a good result against a Spurs team who have been sensational lately.

Sadly for Wilshere and the Cherries, neither of those things happened.

Spurs wasted no time in taking control of the game and were rewarded for their good play with early goals from Mousa Dembele and Son Heung-min in the first half.

And it got worse for the visitors in the second half when Harry Kane added Tottenham’s third to put the hosts on easy street.

As for Wilshere, he struggled to get close to Tottenham’s midfield and a disappointing afternoon ended early for him when he hobbled off with an injury picked up in a tackle on Kane.

Spurs fans seemed to enjoy seeing Wilshere go off injured – and those watching on at home weren’t surprised to see him struggling again:

There’s plenty more of that on Twitter – with fans not surprised that Wilshere is injured again.

Arsenal fans – what’s your view of Wilshere’s time at Bournemouth?
