Despite most of the talk among Gunners supporters concerning the future of their manager, some is concentrating on how the team could shape up next season.
There are worries about Alexis Sanchez’s future and if Wenger was to stay at the club then he’d inevitably have to strengthen in the summer to persuade the Chilean to remain at the club.
And one name mentioned with doing that is Dembele – who is being linked with more and more big clubs after an outstanding debut season with Celtic.
The French striker has scored 32 goals in all competitions this term, including five in the Hoops’ Champions League campaign.
His form has been so good that he was linked with a £40million move to Chelsea in January before confirming close to transfer deadline day that he wasn’t going anywhere.
Interest will come again this summer – so what about Arsenal as a potential move for Dembele? According to Sky Sports’ White, it’d be the perfect one for the Celtic man.
Asked if he was good enough to be a Gunner during an interview with ArsenalFanTV this week, White said: “I would say yes. This guy knows where the goal is.
“A lot of people would say ‘Jim White, you’re talking about Scottish football,’ sure, but I reckon yes. Given the challenge of Premier League football, if you say to Moussa Dembele – here’s the deal, can you go from there where you’re at now to there (gesturing a higher level), he would love the opportunity and he would embrace it and say ‘yes I can’.
“He’d be a sensation and I think a club like Arsenal would be the perfect home for him if he leaves Celtic.”
White added that it would make sense, saying: “Brendan Rodgers knows that there’s a massive move around the corner for this lad, and a massive move would be to a club the size of Arsenal.”

If Arsenal were to sign Dembele then they’d need to agree a pretty huge transfer fee, which would inevitably break the record received by a Scottish club.
