Man City Fans Ecstatic Vincent Kompany Makes His Return vs Chelsea Tonight

Vincent Kompany is set to play his first Premier League game since November tonight, with Pep Guardiola picking the defender in his starting XI against Chelsea.

City travel to Stamford Bridge 11 points adrift on the Premier League leaders and desperately looking to claw some points back before the end of the season.

And while it seems unlikely that anyone will be able to catch Antonio Conte’s side on recent form, the return of club captain Kompany has certainly pleased the City faithful.

In fact, the thought of a fully fit Kompany lining up alongside John Stones – who has found it difficult playing in a two with Nicolas Otamendi – has thrilled supporters.

So much so, that they couldn’t help but Tweet their joy as Kompany prepares to do battle with the likes of Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Pedro:

Whether Kompany can complete 90 minutes in a game which is expected to be fast-paced and pedal to the metal, remains to be seen.

However, the Kompany’s presence alone will surely inspire his teammates to give a strong performance.
