Pedro Caixinha: We Are Not Worried About Celtic and Their Record

Pedro Caixinha insists Rangers aren’t worried about Celtic and their unbeaten domestic record.

The Ibrox manager will take charge of his first game against their rivals when the teams clash at Hampden in the Scottish Cup semi-finals.

Rangers go into the game as underdogs given they haven’t beaten Celtic this season while the Hoops haven’t lost domestically and are aiming for a full season without defeat.

But Caixinha isn’t interested in the pre-match billing – he’s only concerned about making it into the Cup final:

That rallying call from Caixinha should make Rangers fans happy going into a game they know will be difficult to win.

Celtic won the first meeting between the teams last year 5-1 and followed that up with a 2-1 victory at Ibrox on New Year’s Eve.

Rangers were much better in the most recent game though, with Graeme Murty’s men producing an organised defensive display to leave Celtic Park with a 1-1 draw.

But this weekend’s game should be completely different given Caixinha is in charge – and it doesn’t sound like the Portuguese manager is going to be overawed by the challenge.
