Video: Alexandre Lacazette Scores Marvellous Chipped Goal vs Besiktas

Alexandre Lacazette has scored a beautiful equaliser for Lyon against Besiktas during their quarter-final of the Europa League tonight.

The first leg of the tie, which finished with Lyon earning a 2-1 home win, was wrecked by violence in the stands.

Both clubs have since been handed suspended bans from European competition by Uefa after their match was suspended by 45 minutes due to trouble in the stands.

Thankfully, however, tonight’s match has been all about the football on the pitch, with Lacazette earning all the plaudits for a magnificent chip over an on-rushing Besiktas goalkeeper:

The Frenchman’s strike cancelled out Souza Conceicao’s opener for the hosts, meaning the score is now 3-2 on aggregate to Lyon with little over half an hour still to be played.

With Arsenal and Liverpool among potential suitors and with the player confirming he wants to leave Ligue 1 this summer, could we see his talents in the Premier League sooner rather than later?
