Video: Alexis Sanchez Scores Sublime Free-Kick v Middlesbrough

Alexis Sanchez roared back to form for Arsenal this evening at Middlesbrough – by scoring an absolutely sublime free-kick.

The Gunners went into their Premier League fixture on Teesside knowing they absolutely had to secure victory to keep alive their already slim hopes of finishing in the top four spots this season.

And after a fairly even start at the Riverside, you struggled to see how or where Arsenal would be able to break down their hosts – but nobody banked on a moment of absolute genius from Sanchez.

After Xhaka was fouled by Adam Clayton just outside the penalty area, the Chilean stepped up and took full advantage, leaving goalkeeper Brad Guzan with absolutely no chance:

What a finish, eh?

With his contract situation rumbling on in the background, surely this is another timely reminder to the Arsenal hierarchy to get the chequebook out and meet his demands, no?

What do you think of the finish?
