Halliday hasn’t had the chance to impress new Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha yet, with the midfielder recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered last month.
However, as a life-long supporter of the club, Halliday knows how important it is for fans of the team to get a little back from their heroes.
So, when the 25-year-old got the chance to call some supporters and directly thank them for renewing their season tickets for next term, he jumped at the chance.
As you’d expect, most of the fans who Halliday got in touch with were clearly sceptical, with one supporter even asking for the midfielder to sing Happy Birthday down the phone.
Another fan was at a dentist appointment when Halliday called, meaning the former Middlesbrough star had to track him down after speaking with his dad:
Halliday is understood to be in contention for Rangers’ game against Partick Thistle tomorrow afternoon, with Caixinha’s side desperate to build on the 3-0 drubbing of Aberdeen.
