Arsenal were helped out in their search for a Champions League spot this season by one of their own players – who is currently on-loan at Middlesbrough.
The Gunners are still in the hunt for a top-four finish this season, despite looking unlikely to finish about any of Man Utd, Man City, Spurs or Liverpool.
However, City travelled to relegation-threatened Middlesbrough this afternoon in what many thought would result in a routine win for Pep Guardiola’s men, but they were thwarted late in the second half by none other than Calum Chambers.
The defender, on a season’s long loan from Arsenal, managed to come up with his only goal of the campaign so far against City’s star-studded squad:

In the end, City managed to sneak a 2-2 draw, but it remains to be seen how important Chambers’ goal could be when the season ends.
If Arsenal can defeat bitter rivals Spurs later tonight, they’d close the gap on City – so could Chambers’ be the Gunners’ unlikely hero this season?
