Arsenal are synonymous with playing fast, slick, possession-based football, but today they were forced to rely on a more brutish form of attack, with Shkodran Mustafi scoring a towering header against Manchester City.
After trailing 2-1 at half-time at the Emirates to goals from Aguero and Sane, a big 45 minutes loomed for manager Arsenal Wenger, and perhaps a lot of the Gunners’ under performing squad.
And just when he needed it most, the German World Cup winner Mustafi showed the kind of desire, strength and will to win which has been so obviously missing from so many Arsenal performances this season.
What a brilliant header:

We have no idea if it’ll make any difference or not, but if every player in Wenger’s team showed that attitude for 90% of the time, would it perhaps help ease some of the pressure on the French coach?
Just a thought.
What do you think of the goal?
