Bacary Sagna may not have kicked a ball for Manchester City since pulling up with a groin injury vs Liverpool last month, but these young City fans haven’t forgotten him.
Sagna was forced to withdraw from the France squad for games against Spain and Luxembourg and was also missing during City’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea last night.
However, as the 34-year-old progressed through the rehabilitation process this afternoon, he was given a fantastic reception by a bunch of school kids.
The ex-Arsenal right back uploaded this video to his official Instagram account, claiming the adoration he received from the young fans made him feel like boxing legend Muhammad Ali:
City’s loss to at Stamford Bridge last night leaves Pep Guardiola’s side in fourth place in the Premier League table.
However, fifth placed Arsenal have a game in hand over City and could close the gap on the Champions League places with a win over Crystal Palace on Monday night.
