Video: Isolated Granit Xhaka Errors Make Arsenal Fans Question £38m Price Tag

Is it any surprise that some Arsenal fans are casting up the reported £38million transfer fee the club spent on signing Granit Xhaka?

It’s been a disappointing season so far for the Swiss midfielder after his big summer move from Borussia Monchengladbach.

He’s played regularly for Arsene Wenger’s men, but he’s failed to really impress at the heart of midfield – leading to some doubts from fans.

Xhaka’s performance in Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace last night just added to the criticism, with one supporter picking out two errors and sharing them on Twitter to show just how poor the midfielder is.

And it’s gone viral, with well over 3,000 users retweeting and liking the embarrassing clip:

Unfortunately for Xhaka, that clip will no doubt resurface every time he has a bad game in an Arsenal shirt.

That said, he wasn’t the only one who received criticism after last night’s shambolic display at Selhurst Park.

Wenger was given his usual stick, while Hector Bellerin was slammed by his own supporters and Theo Walcott was criticised for admitting that Crystal Palace looked more determined than Arsenal before kick off.

But there are serious question marks over Xhaka and whether or not he’s good enough to continue playing in midfield for the club.
