Tottenham knew it was a must-win game if they want to keep the pressure on Chelsea, who led them at the top of the Premier League by seven points going into today’s fixtures.
But a victory for Spurs would cut that to four going into Chelsea’s trip to Bournemouth this evening.
And a devastating first half ensured Pochettino’s men would get the win as they blitzed Watford for three goals inside 11 minutes to go in at the break 3-0 up.
Son’s second after the break made it 4-0 and Spurs coasted to all three points – and Pochettino was so happy he rewarded each player with a cuddle as they walked off at full-time:
