Video: Paul Pogba Might Have Just Missed the Easiest Chance of His Career

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba missed a glorious chance to seal his team’s place in the semi-finals of the Europa League tonight… and as you’d expect, the Frenchman was mercilessly trolled for it.

Pogba has failed to live up to expectations this season, scoring seven goals and creating three assists despite costing United a world-record £89 million in the summer.

And with pressure mounting on the former Juventus star, the last thing he needed was to miss an absolute sitter against Anderlecht tonight at Old Trafford.

But that’s exactly what’s happened.

With the score 1-1, Pogba missed a tap-in from seven yards when a corner kick fell to him inside the box:

And we don’t need to be the ones to tell you that a miss like that almost always gets ridiculed on social media, especially if you’re the most expensive player in the history of the game:

With the game now in extra-time, maybe the France international will get a chance to redeem himself and send United through?
