Caixinha’s side stunned Aberdeen at Pittodrie in their last league game, scoring three goals in five frantic minutes, with Kenny Miller grabbing a double and Joe Dodoo also on the scoresheet.
However, since the Portuguese arrived at Ibrox, Rangers have dropped points by drawing with both Motherwell and Kilmarnock.
And Caixinha believes his team can step it up a gear when they host Partick Thistle later this afternoon.
The 46-year-old also mentioned the “weird” match against the Steelmen on April Fools’ Day, admitting Rangers cannot afford to let teams play as well as Motherwell did:
Partick are unbeaten in their last eight games and will be full of confidence as they take on Rangers on their own turf.
But with the Gers travelling to Hampden next week for their crucial Scottish Cup semi-final with Celtic, Caixinha’s players will surely be looking to put in another strong performance as they look to build more momentum.
