Andy Halliday may count himself lucky that he’s still on the pitch after a very hard tackle on Patrick Roberts early into the Scottish Cup semi-final between Rangers and Celtic.
The Gers midfielder is never far away from the action when the two rivals square up and he went into Willie Collum’s book within the first few minutes for his tackle on Roberts.
But should he have seen red instead of yellow? Make your mind up:

Willie Collum didn’t punish the tackle straight away as he allowed advantage to be played, but he pulled it back seconds later to book Halliday.
Judging by the reaction of fans, Halliday was lucky to avoid red:
When you compare the tackle to the one which saw Scott Brown get a red card against Ross County last weekend, you can see why so many believe Halliday should have been sent off.
What’s your view? Should Halliday have been sent off for that tackle? Or did Collum get it right only handing out a yellow?
