Jose Mourinho has described tonight’s Europa League semi-final clash against Celta Vigo as the most important match in Manchester United’s history.
The Premier League side welcome their Spanish opponents to Old Trafford after they recorded a 1-0 win through Marcus Rashford’s stunning free-kick last week.
United are clear favourites to reach the final in Stockholm given their away goal, however, Mourinho seems to be taking no chances.
The Portguese was speaking to the media today when he branded the match against Vigo as the most important match in the club’s long and illustrious history:
José Mourinho: "It's the most important match in our history…"

The Europa League is the only trophy United have yet to add to their honours list.
And if United can avoid an upset tonight, advance to the final and win it, they would guarantee their spot in next season’s Champions League.
United dropped to sixth in the Premier League last night as Arsenal beat Southampton 2-0, meaning with three games remaining it looks like it could be Europa League or bust for Mourinho’s side.
