Forget Ian Crocker or Liam McLeod; the only commentary you should be listening to alongside Glasgow’s biggest derby is the one provided by the guys over at American station Fox Soccer.

Responsible for airing the biggest European and South American football matches in the States, Fox Soccer is one of the most-watched soccer shows in the US and last weekend they treated their viewers to Rangers v Celtic, live from Ibrox.

As you’ll probably know by now, the Hoops ran out convincing 5-1 winners over their bitter rivals, but more entertaining than anything the match threw up is the analysis from the pundits on Fox Soccer.

Here’s just a little taste of how they viewed Saturday’s events in Govan:

Even hearing the word ‘Scottish’ in an American accent raises a wry smile.

It might be a slightly outlandish idea, but we reckon every Scottish Premiership match should be played with American commentators.
