Video: Alexis Sanchez Says He Still Wants to Win the Premier League With Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez has admitted he still wants to win titles with Arsenal, as speculation mounts as to whether he will remain at the Emirates next season.

Arsenal finished their Premier League campaign in fifth place, meaning the Gunners have missed out on Champions League football for the first time during Arsene Wenger’s 20-year reign.

With Arsenal struggling for form and consistency throughout the season and with the Chilean only having one-year remaining on his current deal, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are understood to be interested in Sanchez.

However, the 28-year-old may have squashed those rumours in a video published by Arsenal’s official YouTube account this evening.

Sanchez was taking part in the club’s mini-series of videos called Arsenal Albums, where players are shown several images throughout their playing careers.

Sanchez was shown photographs from his time playing in his homeland, his spell at Italian side Udinese and his successful period at Barcelona.

But it was Sanchez’s comments when he was shown a picture of himself signing for the club that are really interesting:

Sanchez recalls, “When I arrived here, I said, ‘I want to win many things with Arsenal, the Premier League, the Champions League and the FA Cup.

“To this day that’s what I still want to do – win the Premier League and the Champions League.”

He added, “It’s a big club with fans who give such amazing support week in, week out. I would love to give them a trophy and make them happy.”

Is Sanchez simply saying what fans want to hear?

Or does this imply he will be looking to sign a new deal following this weekend’s FA Cup final against Chelsea?
