Celtic winger Patrick Roberts added to his goal tally this afternoon with two goals against St. Johnstone, and the first of which was a pretty tidy finish from outside the area.
The Englishman has been absolutely outstanding for the Hoops at times this season, and with the end of his loan from Manchester City on the horizon, it’s days like today which will remind fans just how good he is.
Tommy Wright’s travelling side actually put up a really decent performance in the first-half, and went into the break fully deserving of the 0-0 score.
But no doubt after a few stern words from Brendan Rodgers, it took Celtic just two minutes into the second period to make the breakthrough, with Roberts’ precise effort making its way past several bodies before ending up in the bottom corner:

That’s actually only Roberts’ eighth strike of the season, although his overall influence feels like a lot more.
How badly will Celtic miss him when he leaves?
