Video: Celtic’s Patrick Roberts Scores An Absolute Beauty Against Partick Thistle

Patrick Roberts reminded Celtic fans exactly what they’ll be missing if he heads back to Manchester City in the summer by scoring an absolute cracker against Partick Thistle tonight.

The wide attacker is close to completing an 18-month loan with the Hoops from the Premier League giants, and if he does return south, moments of magic like this will be sorely missed by Brendan Rodgers’ side.

After winning the penalty for Leigh Griffiths’ opener, Roberts was a constant thorn in Thistle’s side during the first-half, and he managed to get himself on the scoresheet in spectacular form after 41 minutes.

His wand of a left foot reduced Tomáš Černý to scrabbling helplessly across his goal but, in truth, there was nothing he could do about a strike of this quality:

Is there any hope at all of Celtic keeping Roberts for one more season?

What do you think?
