England are homing in on glory at the Under-20 World Cup after Everton striker Ademola Lookman fired the Three Lions into the quarter-finals.
Today’s last-16 match against Costa Rica in Jeonju always had the makings of a tricky tie, and Paul Simpson’s side needed every piece of firepower available to them to eventually squeeze through to the last-eight.
Lookman had given England the lead from close range just before half-time, after an evenly contested first-half, in which Costa Rica arguably had the better of the chances.

And the 19-year-old managed to double his side’s lead just after the hour mark – and we think you’ll agree that his second really was a bit special:
Randall Leal pulled a goal back for Costa Rica with just one minute to go to ensure a nervy finish, but England managed to hold on – with Lookman the hero.
The junior Three Lions will now face either Senegal or Mexico in the next round – can they go all the way?
