Video: John Hughes’ Rant About His Raith Rovers Players is a Must Watch

Saying John Hughes was angry at his Raith Rovers players at the weekend would be an understatement.

The Rovers manager was not happy after seeing his side beaten 5-0 by Championship relegation rivals St Mirren in Paisley.

Going into the game, Raith led the Buddies by a point and a positive result would have seen them remain outside the relegation places.

But the defeat means St Mirren are now safe in eighth going into the final day of the season this weekend and Raith are left needing a huge result against Ayr, coupled with defeat for Jack Ross’ men at Hibs, to assure safety. Otherwise they’ll most likely take part in the relegation play-offs.

It wasn’t just a loss at the weekend – it was a hammering. And Hughes definitely wasn’t happy as he went on an eight-minute rant to the club’s media team post-match:

Raith fans can’t be happy with their team’s performances and results this season – but will Hughes’ public slamming of the team benefit them going into a must-win game?
